In 2020 I launched a tech investment fund. I spent 10 years as an early employee or founder of technology companies, 3 of which exited. I then spent another 10 years angel investing into tech companies. In parallel I learnt how to coach, and coached the founders of our investee companies, which improved commercial results. All that to achieve a compound average growth rate of roughly 1/4 what Bitcoin achieved over the same 5-year period. Humbling. I can understand why so many people in finance feel so threatened by Bitcoin. Admitting you were wrong about Bitcoin will bruise your ego once. But ignoring Bitcoin will bruise your effort:reward ratio over and over again.
