In 2020 I launched a tech investment fund. I spent 10 years as an early employee or founder of technology companies, 3 of which exited. I then spent another 10 years angel investing into tech companies. In parallel I learnt how to coach, and coached the founders of our investee companies, which improved commercial results. All that to achieve a compound average growth rate of roughly 1/4 what Bitcoin achieved over the same 5-year period. Humbling. I can understand why so many people in finance feel so threatened by Bitcoin. Bitcoin will bruise your ego once. But ignoring Bitcoin will bruise your effort:reward ratio over and over again.
