I am currently in Gutters in St. Elizabeth, where we’re taking a big step toward improving water access for thousands of Jamaicans. 🚰🇯🇲
We are installing five new pumps to push water through a 24-inch pipeline to the Gutters pumping station, six kilometres away. From there, the water will be pumped over Spur Tree Hill and into Mandeville, ensuring a more reliable water supply for residents.
I want to assure the people of Runnit, Pepper, and surrounding areas that this project was designed with you in mind.
We know that many communities have struggled with water shortages due to aging infrastructure, climate change, and the fact that most of our water sources are in the north, while many people live in the south.
This project will increase water pressure, reduce lock-offs, and bring a more steady and consistent supply to households and businesses.
Better infrastructure means a better quality of life! Watch this space!
