AI is going to get 1,000x more powerful in the next five years (simple math, 4^5). The way we are aligning AI today is very bad. So X-risk is real, and it's short-term. Current strategies seem to be: 1. Trust Sam Altman, Big Tech, and the CCP. 2. Hope AI is never misused.
