According to Golden Finance, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) postponed its decision on multiple spot cryptocurrency ETF applications on Tuesday, including XRP, Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Litecoin (LTC). Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyfart stated that the SEC is unlikely to approve or reject these applications until Paul Atkins, the SEC chairman nominated by Trump, is confirmed by Congress. Seyfart pointed out that although Trump has nominated Atkins as SEC Chairman, a confirmation hearing has not yet been arranged. In addition, the approval of spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs took several years, and the SEC had previously considered the maturity of the relevant asset futures markets as an important approval criterion, but the currently pending ETF applications have not met this criterion. However, analysts believe that the probability of some altcoin ETFs being approved before the end of this year is still over 65%. However, the final outcome still depends on the confirmation of the new chairman and its policy direction.
