Thune took the 1st procedural step in the Senate this morning on the House-passed 6-month gov't funding bill to avert a shutdown,moving to proceed to the CR. 60 votes will be needed to advance/end a filibuster against it once cloture is filed.Current funding expires midnight Fri.
