The Web3 DeSci project OpenSci started the testnet voting phase on March 9th and entered the donation phase on March 10th. On chain data shows that the project reached its donation limit within 48 hours. Today, OpenSci announced that its testing goals have been exceeded and has decided to lift the donation limit, allowing users to continue participating in the testing network. It is reported that OpenSci aims to support different scientific fields and provide a decentralized scientific platform to assist scientists in research fundraising, while establishing a shared aggregator for literature databases. The core of OpenSci's mission is its innovative project research donation model, which enables researchers to showcase their projects and receive direct funding from a global community of supporters. This model not only fills the critical funding gap, but also promotes accountability and openness, setting new standards for scientific funding methods and development. OpenSci DAO is composed of six different scientific fields and is led by a consultant team of world-class award-winning top scientists, aiming to help users understand the content behind research and promote the popularization of research ecology. OpenSci has launched an incentive testing website on February 21st and stated that airdrops will be distributed based on the progress of participants in the future. Currently, OpenSci's Galxe event is also underway simultaneously.
