📞: Ahead of next week’s European Council meeting, I have just spoken once again to @eucopresident António Costa. Naturally, we discussed the war in Ukraine: we in Europe must shoulder more responsibility for our own security, including significantly strengthening European defence while still ensuring financial stability and debt sustainability. We also discussed migration and the importance of boosting European competitiveness.
