El Salvador buys 13 bitcoins since March 1st

According to Cointelegraph, despite pressure from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on El Salvador to stop accumulating decentralized value storage assets. However, since March 1st, El Salvador has still purchased 13 bitcoins. According to the Bitcoin Office of El Salvador, the country's Bitcoin vault holds over 6105 BTC, valued at over 527 million US dollars at current prices.
In December 2024, El Salvador reached an agreement with the International Monetary Fund to obtain a $1.4 billion loan from the organization. As part of the agreement, the Salvadoran government has agreed to revoke BTC's legal tender status in the country and reduce public sector participation in Bitcoin.
