Wu learned that Solana core developer Max Resnick and Ashwin Sekar have jointly released draft SIMD-0257, proposing to remove the voting fees from the Solana network and optimize the incentive compatibility of timely voting points to enhance network security and validator participation. The current voting fee is used to limit the size of validators and prevent DoS attacks. The other parts of the proposal mainly revolve around preventing a potential modification behavior, where validators can review the votes of their peer validators to increase the rewards they receive from voting points. The proposal is still in its early stages and is not yet ready for voting. It is understood that Max was previously a core researcher at Ethereum and later transferred to the Anza team at Solana core development company. https://www.
