Eliminating vote fees is a step in the right direction. If it gets coupled with BLS subcommittee attestation implementation it would be even more awesome for the ecosystem as it lowers the barriers to entry for the validators. BLS at a leader protocol level also protects it from spam overall making execution layer faster.
