BlockBeats News: On March 6th, the WEEX trading platform announced that from 00:00 to 01:08 (UTC+8) on March 5th, there was a K-line anomaly and execution delay in ETH/USDT trading pairs. The reason was that some nodes on the trading server deployed a large number of trading pairs, and during the settlement of fund fees, the nodes needed to process the calculation of fund fees for all currency pairs within 1 second, resulting in a sudden increase in memory usage and causing anomalies. After the accident, WEEX immediately optimized the settlement logic of fund expenses, implemented staggered settlement, and expanded and sharded nodes to disperse the number of load coin pairs on a single node. At the same time, similar weak points were investigated one by one. After the occurrence of this malfunction, WEEX completed the problem location within 15 minutes, repaired it within 25 minutes, issued an announcement and promised 100% full compensation within 45 minutes, and disbursed the first batch of 10 million USDT compensation funds. In addition to full compensation, WEEX will provide an additional 1 million WXT and 1 million USDT trial fees to affected users and newly registered trading users before 23:59 (UTC+8) on March 8th. In addition, WEEX has launched the "ETH 8U Purchase" activity with a total prize pool of 88 ETH for this event. New users who deposit ≥ 8 U before 23:59 (UTC+8) on March 9th, and old users who have transaction records from March 4th to 5th and have daily contract trading volume ≥ 5000 USDT during the "ETH 8U Purchase" activity, can randomly divide 11 ETH each day.
