Uniswap DAO votes to approve 'Representative Reward Program' Cycle 3, investing $540000 in UNI tokens to incentivize governance

According to a report by Golden Finance, the DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) of the decentralized trading protocol Uniswap recently voted to approve a proposal to continue implementing the "Delegate Reward Initiative" and initiate the third cycle (Cycle 3). According to the approved proposal on the blockchain voting platform Tally, Uniswap DAO will allocate an additional $540000 worth of protocol native token UNI to fund the program's Cycle 3. The Representative Reward Program aims to enhance the quality and participation of Uniswap governance through economic incentives. This program provides rewards to outstanding "representatives" (i.e. individuals or entities authorized to vote on behalf of other token holders), with each representative receiving up to $6000 worth of UNI tokens per month. The governance vote was held from February 26 to March 4, 2025, and was passed with 47.51 million votes in favor (99.45%). The third cycle proposal is currently "queued" for execution, and the specific execution date will be determined later, provided that it is not cancelled within the time lock period.
