A vote on the motion to proceed is slated for around 11AM EST. Per a source familiar, Cruz’s team is hoping to move to a final vote on the matter by tomorrow afternoon/evening, but the State of the Union could potentially push it back to later in the week. This CRA, if passed with a simple majority in both chambers, would repeal the @USTreasury’s IRS broker rule which expands the definition of a ‘broker’ to include DeFi developers. Advocates of the CRA say the rule, as it stands, is not suited to the unique nature of DeFi.
