The newly established Cryptocurrency Task Force of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will hold its first roundtable meeting later this month as part of a series of conferences. The SEC stated in a statement on Monday that the conference titled "Our Past and Future - Defining Securities Status" will be held on March 21 at the agency's headquarters in Washington, D.C. This roundtable meeting is part of the "Spring Sprint, Seeking Clarity in Cryptocurrency" series of conferences. Republican commissioner Hester Peirce, who leads the cryptocurrency task force, stated in a statement, "I look forward to utilizing the public's expertise to develop a viable regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies."
