So many insiders are making money of Crypto. It is discouraging tbh. As a child, I watched my mother beg owners of Check Cashing Stores in Detroit to take less of a fee to cash her welfare check because we needed the money for food and because she couldn’t maintain a minimum balance at the bank and the 🏦 would punish her with predatory fees. In college, I used to send my mom 💰 whenever I could and was forced to use Western Union and they would take 12-15% of the amount I sent her. When I read the BTC WhitePaper, I fell in love with the concept of crypto. I literally had an emotional reaction to it. Crypto eliminated the middle man and the predatory fees imposed by banks and the MoneyGram/Western Union’s of the world. The idea of helping the underbanked and unbanked genuinely warmed my ❤️ and I thought about how it could foster capitalism across the globe. I really hope Crypto doesn’t become TradFi 2.0.
