Microsoft's global downtime has resulted in tens of thousands of people being unable to access email and other applications

According to a report by Kingsoft, tens of thousands of users were unable to use Microsoft's various programs on Saturday afternoon US time. According to Downdetector data, the number of reports of service failures in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Azure surged after 3:30 pm Eastern Time in the United States. More than 37000 people reported Outlook malfunctions, approximately 24000 reported Microsoft 365 service failures, and around 150 users reported their Teams accounts being unusable. According to the Downdetector report, the most concentrated occurrence of this malfunction is in the New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles areas.
