We are extending electricity access to the most remote corners of our country to light up homes, power industries, create jobs and drive inclusive economic growth. Launched the first Kenya Off-Grid Solar Access Project (KOSAP) at Ndau Island, Lamu East Constituency, Lamu County. The KSh10 billion initiative, covering 14 counties, is part of a broader effort to expand electricity access through mini-grids and stand-alone solar systems whose implementation contracts we signed last week in Nairobi. It covers Garissa, Isiolo, Kilifi, Kwale, Lamu, Mandera, Marsabit, Narok, Samburu, Taita Taveta, Tana River, Turkana, Wajir and West Pokot Counties.
