Odaily Daily News: OpenSea co-founder and CEO Devin Finzer announced that the SEC has ended its investigation into the NFT market. He stated that this is a huge victory for the entire field, believing that classifying NFTs as securities is a misunderstanding of the law and would hinder innovation. Previously, the SEC issued a Wells notice to OpenSea in August 2024, accusing it of operating as an unregistered securities trading platform. Despite being competitors, Chris Akhavan, Chief Commercial Officer of Magic Eden, believes this is a major victory for the NFT industry, as both companies firmly believe in the potential of NFTs.
