The US Second Circuit Court supports the revocation of the class action lawsuit against Uniswap

Odaily Planet Daily News: The US Second Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on Wednesday that it largely supports the lower court's 2023 ruling and dismissed the class action lawsuit against the decentralized exchange Uniswap. The lawsuit was filed by a group of investors in 2022, accusing Uniswap of allowing fraudulent tokens to be issued on its protocol, thereby harming the interests of investors.
In 2023, Judge Failed la of the Southern District Court of New York supported Uniswap, stating that holding it accountable is similar to holding payment platforms Venmo or Zelle accountable for illegal transactions. Despite the plaintiff's appeal, the appellate court upheld Failed's ruling and only remanded some of the state law charges back to the lower court for trial. This ruling is a significant victory for Uniswap, especially after the SEC announced the withdrawal of its investigation. (CoinDesk)
