This is why og DeFi apps used to have simple open source frontends that were easy to run locally; because you want to manage your own supplychain. Teams then created fancy frontends with too many APIs/backend dependencies, and were too worried about forks and started normalizing not releasing a frontend so you blindly sign tx from an unverified upstream. We need to get back to normalizing open source, simple frontends. Even if a team has a fancy hosted version, they should support a slimmed down open source lite version that people can use for security.
