The US housing market is showing some cracks:
~73,000 homes were delisted in December after they failed to attract a buyer, the highest in 9 years.
This was a 64% increase from the ~44,500 homes pulled off the market in December 2023.
In other words, nearly 1 in 10 properties sitting on the market were delisted in December 2024.
However, the biggest problem for affordability continues to be historically low levels of supply.
The housing market is stagnant.
