When it comes to the Bitcoin logo, all I knew at first was the cute orange one I have also gone through several versions before. The first version of the Bitcoin logo designed by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008 featured a gold coin engraved with the letters BC (Bitcoin Core). The second version of the Bitcoin logo designed by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2010 features a gold coin resembling the "B+II" symbol, rumored to be inspired by the US dollar (or possibly Thai baht) symbol. But most enthusiasts believe that the design of gold coin texture is not suitable, and digital currency cannot be exchanged for physical coins. In November 2010, Bitboy, a Bitcoin forum user, improved the design of the third version of the Bitcoin logo, reportedly inspired by Mastercard. This logo received strong support from the community and was later added by the Chief Maintainer of Bitcoin Core when rewriting Bitcoin Qt, and has been used ever since.
