According to a report by Golden Finance, mETH Protocol has released a Bybit security incident update, which reveals that a security incident occurred on Bybit, resulting in unauthorized withdrawals of mETH and cmETH from the exchange. This includes three transactions through DEX, where 8000 mETH were exchanged for ETH, and 15000 cmETH withdrawals were initiated through mETH Protoc but were not successfully completed. Mantle or mETH Protocol is not at risk and reduces cmETH liquidity on Mantle Network L2. The attacker's wallet address has been blacklisted, preventing further cmETH transfers or interactions within the protocol. As a result, there have been no unauthorized cmETH withdrawals, and the contract has now been restored with normal operations.
