Since 2017, North Korean hackers have been actively stealing cryptocurrencies, providing funding for their weapons programs. They stole nearly billions of dollars in total. The number of theft cases sharply increased in 2024, accounting for 61% of all cryptocurrency hacking attacks that year. The two largest transactions are BYBIT's $1.4 billion and RONIN's $625 million.
BYBIT has experienced a major setback this time, and I believe that after surviving it, it will be even safer.
