This is a bit technical:
A decentralized 8chan in my eyes is a server software that anybody could run.
It would offer both a JSON api and an html frontend viewable on localhost.
Turning the server on would connect to a swam of other servers who then decide via consensus which posts are legit and which arent.
The legit posts would be saved to a chain.
After you turn on the server, you could view 8chan on your web browser without going to any centralized DNS url.
Data would be sent via UDP and broadcast between the different nodes using a gossip protocol.
Anybody could create a board.
Anybody could post about whatever they want.
Moderation would happen locally.
Global moderation would be impossible without achieving consensus and forking the chain.
It would be almost impossible to stop.
It would be glorious.
