Bybit hacked for 1.4 billion in ETH. Hot take they have more than enough money to cover this. Shit situation for one of my favorite exchanges but big picture not a big deal. Only ETH wallet was compromised. This is a bad hack but hardly an Armageddon for Bybit or the wider crypto market or even for ETH. I am selling nothing in reaction to this news. But I am withdrawing the other assets I had on Bybit. Just in case. Standard operating procedure in the event of a hack. Can always just put money back in a few days when the shit blows over.
