BNB Smart Chain will undergo Pascal hard fork upgrade, with mainnet upgrade scheduled for March 2025

According to BlockBeats, on February 21st, according to the official announcement of BNB Chain, BNB Smart Chain will undergo a Pascal hard fork upgrade, which is planned to be implemented on the test network on February 25, 2025, and the main network upgrade is scheduled for mid March 2025. This upgrade will enhance compatibility with Ethereum, mainly including two core features: native smart contract wallet support and secure encryption upgrade. By integrating EIP-7702, multiple signature support, expenditure restrictions, and batch transactions will be implemented, while BEP-439 (EIP-2537) will be introduced to support BLS12-381 curve encryption operations. The BNB Chain team stated that after the Pascal hard fork, there will be two upgrades, Lorentz (April 2025) and Maxwell (June 2025), with time block intervals reduced to 1.5 seconds and 0.75 seconds, respectively.
