South African listed company Altvest Capital applies to raise $10 million to purchase Bitcoin

According to a report by Golden Finance, Altvest Capital Ltd. announced that it will become the first publicly traded company in Africa to adopt Bitcoin as its primary treasury reserve asset, following Michael Saylor's strategy of soaring stock prices by over 2400% since starting to purchase Bitcoin.
Altvest CEO Warren Wheatley stated in an interview that the company has purchased a Bitcoin and has applied to regulators to raise approximately 200 million rand ($10 million) by selling stocks to increase its treasury reserves. He added that a final decision on fundraising has not yet been made.
