According to Decrypt, NFT game project Illuvium has undergone restructuring and layoffs due to poor management, with some core contributors choosing to take pay cuts or receive salaries in token form. Last year, Illuvium released three interrelated games: Overworld, Arena, and Zero, covering different game genres, and this layoff occurred at that time. Despite Illuvium's grand vision, after years of development, the community's response has not been very positive. In December, co-founder Kieran Warwick acknowledged that concerns about the gameplay of the series were reasonable and that things must change. This includes Illuvium significantly reducing costs through adjustments such as setting a salary cap of $85000. But this week, Warwick stated that even greater cuts must be made.
