Today, I will continue to talk to you about @0G_labs' core product 0G Chain, which is known as the largest Layer 1 (L1) blockchain in the field of AI. I specially looked up their official documents (https://docs.0g.ai/0g-chain) to organize the key information.
What is 0G Chain? Why is it so compatible with AI?
Simply put, 0G Chain is a highly scalable L1 blockchain optimized for AI. Its design is very interesting, using a modular architecture - what does it mean? It separates the core functions of consensus, execution, and storage, and optimizes each independently. This is particularly critical for AI applications, because AI has to deal with massive data and complex calculations at any time. The "family bucket" architecture of traditional blockchains is easy to get stuck, and 0G Chain is like a sports car tailored for AI, with strong power and flexibility.
What's more, 0G Chain has built-in data availability network (DA), distributed storage network and AI service network, which are seamlessly integrated with their consensus mechanism. AI tasks, such as large-scale model training or reasoning, require fast access and storage of huge amounts of data, and this design of 0G Chain can meet the needs. Moreover, it is EVM compatible, which means that dApps that are already running on Ethereum or other EVM chains can easily access the 0G ecosystem without having to rewrite the code. Horizontal expansion: the "savior" of AI data volume
Speaking of why 0G Chain can be called "AI's largest L1", we have to mention its horizontal expansion capabilities. Most traditional blockchains are single consensus layers, and traffic jams are prone to occur when the amount of data is large. 0G Consensus of 0G is a distributed system composed of multiple independent consensus networks, which can be dynamically expanded when demand increases. To put it simply, it is an intelligent highway that can add lanes at any time, and it is not afraid of a surge in data volume, and the throughput follows demand. This is very important for AI applications, especially those that need to process very large data sets, such as training large models at the level of ChatGPT.
Another highlight is that 0G separates the data availability layer (DA) and the storage layer.
