ZkLend announces compensation plan, affected pool deposits will receive partial fund return

Foresight News|Feb 20, 2025 06:37
Foresight News reports that ZKLend, the Starknet on chain lending protocol, has announced a compensation plan. The deposits in the unaffected pool are expected to receive full fund refunds, while the deposits in the affected pool will receive partial fund refunds and zkLend will restore the claim positions in the pool. The withdrawal process is expected to begin within 2 weeks after the recovery claim portal review. Repayment will be fully paid by the available liquidity in each unaffected pool, and if there is a shortage in one unaffected pool (due to relatively high utilization), it will be supplemented by the remaining liquidity in other unaffected pools to make up for the shortage. All accumulated surplus from unaffected fund pools will be liquidated and proportionally distributed to each affected fund pool, and partial repayments will be made proportionally based on the remaining liquidity of each fund pool plus such redistributed surplus.
