Google Gemini may add AI video generation function

According to Android Authority, Google App v16.6.23 code shows that Gemini may soon support video generation (videogen) functionality, but the feature has not yet been officially launched and the release time is uncertain. In the code, "videogen" and "robot" (Gemini's internal code name) appear together and contain prompts such as "We will notify you when we are ready", implying that Gemini may have AI video generation capabilities. Currently, Google has launched Google Vids, which supports scripting, editing, voice generation, background removal, and other functions, but it is not a purely generative AI video system.
