According to Bloomberg, Tether Holdings has proposed to acquire a majority stake in Adecoagro SA, a South American agricultural and energy company, for approximately $385 million, with plans to increase its stake to over 51% through a offer of $12.41 per share. Tether stated that it will retain Adecoagro's senior management team after the acquisition and develop new strategic plans.
