it may take some time for the hyperEVM eco to mature, but there are three things the evm enables immediately or almost immediately that are quite bullish: 1. much easier for CEXes to list $hype now as hype can be bridged to other evm chains and work with their existing infra 2. funds that weren't able to hold hype previously due to their custodian not supporting the L1 will now be able to hold hype as an erc20 3. i'd expect very soon you'll be able to borrow against hype (and liquid staked hype) effectively enabling hype as collateral for perps so lev traders no longer have to sell their hype to usdc
