This latest purchase brings the company's total holdings to around 2,031 BTC, worth about 196 million at current prices. With an average purchase price of around 80,700 per Bitcoin, Metaplanet's overall investment in bitcoin has increased in value by about 16%. This acquisition follows Metaplanet's successful zero-coupon bond issuance and the approval of 21 million shares to fund further bitcoin purchases. The company aims to reach a target of 21,000 BTC by 2026.
