Odaily Planet Daily News: Hitachi Payments, the Indian subsidiary of Japanese IT giant Hitachi, has made a strategic investment in Spydra, but the specific amount has not been disclosed yet. The goal of this startup is to tokenize RWA on both public and private blockchains, with a particular focus on enterprise blockchain Hyperledger Fabric. The purpose of this collaboration is to introduce innovation in "Web3, CBDC, and blockchain technology" for Hitachi.
It is reported that Hitachi Pay provides a wide range of solutions for banks and payment providers, including ATM services, point of sale (PoS) services for merchants, and products related to the Indian payment system UPI.
One of its main interests in Spydra is the potential of India's CBDC solutions, including cross-border payments and financial inclusion programs. The company also hopes to deploy blockchain in its payment infrastructure to enhance security and reduce fraud. Spydra is already a participant in Hitachi Payment Accelerator (HPX). (Ledger Insights)
