On September 16, 2023 OM was sitting at a mere 12.6M MC. It was roughly a month after having to restructure and layoff 50% of the team, and I was paying peoples salaries out of pocket. Honestly, things looked pretty fucking bleak, and I’m sure 99.9% of the crypto space tonight we were dead. But we kept building. And kept trying to find a way forward. Honestly, I think the team that stayed with me didn’t leave in the face of impending doom, because they felt bad for me, and knew I was facing a lot of shit. I’ll never forget that loyalty & support in our toughest times. In December of 2023, we met the team from @ShorooqPartners and several other critical investors and everything changed. We finally had some capital, but more importantly, we had people who believed in what we were building and gave us the credibility we needed. I’ve been building and iterating in the tokenization space since 2017. Going from a very green and relatively naive entrepreneur to a slightly more mature one (lol🤣) who’s definitely earned his battle scars along the way. I am so thankful for this journey. I’ve learned SO much. Met SO many amazing people, and been able to find my true calling in life at a very young age. I know a lot of people think it’s funny when I say “we are just getting started”, but honestly, the chain & eco really only launched in Q4 of last year. RWAs are just at the top of the iceberg of their potential, and I for one, have so much more growth and development to go. I want to be the best crypto founder the world has ever seen. Period. So while CT calls scam cuz it looks like🕉️ is on a rocket ship to Mars and they missed out, all they really had to do was believe in s🕉️ething back when no one else did. I know it’s not easy to have conviction in something when no one else does, but I’m beyond thankful for the ones who took a bet on me. For the builders out there struggling… keep your head up. Keep building. Don’t cut corners, and stay true to what you believe in. Your time will come when you least expect it. Now back to work. I’m nowhere near satisfied, and so much left to build.
