The great thing about understanding TA and being an actual trader is that if you take a loss you don't have to gamble to make it back. You continue to take setups with a defined R/R and use your knowledge to enter/exit at appropriate times which gives you an edge and allows you to get back up. When you have no technical edge and you're just gambling on random tickers the only way you can recover from a loss is by gambling some more. You're forced to stay in the casino and play odds that are increasingly stacked against you just to get back to square 1 and most likely never get back up from that.
