Austin Michael Taylor, founder of CluCoin and Goobers NFT projects, was convicted of wire fraud for embezzling investor funds and using them for online gambling. He was sentenced to 27 months in prison, paid $1.14 million in compensation, and had his assets confiscated. Taylor confessed to investors in 2023 that he had gambled and squandered all his investment funds. Taylor requested the court to avoid imprisonment, partly due to his veteran status. He initially faced a maximum sentence of 20 years, which is the maximum sentence for telecommunications fraud charges. (TheBlock) https://www.
