The founder of @l2beat, Bartek (@bkiepuszewski), shares his original mental model of L2s that he conceived while still working for MakerDAO (now @SkyEcosystem). The model holds up to this day. It is a great way for those new to the space, or the less technically minded amongst us, to think about what L2s should at a minimum be able to do.
