According to a report by Golden Finance, against the backdrop of increasing demand for institutional cryptocurrency trading, South Korea's top financial regulatory agency will begin allowing charities, universities, and cryptocurrency exchanges to sell certain cryptocurrencies in the first half of this year. According to reports, the Financial Services Commission announced last month that it will allow institutional investors to trade cryptocurrencies in stages. FSC announced today that it will soon allow charities and universities to sell cryptocurrencies received as donations in the second quarter. The regulatory agency also plans to allow South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges to sell their cryptocurrency assets in the form of fees in exchange for cash to cover operating costs such as wages and taxes.
In the second half of this year, financial regulatory agencies plan to launch pilot programs, allowing about 3500 listed companies and companies registered as professional investors to open real name investment accounts.
