According to a report by Golden Finance, a Hashed Open Research survey shows that 25% of South Korean citizens currently hold cryptocurrency. The survey targets 2000 South Korean residents aged 20-69, with the highest participation rate of 54% in the 30-39 age group. Data shows that 3.6% of respondents hold cryptocurrency assets worth over 100 million Korean won (approximately 68900 US dollars), while 25% of respondents hold assets between 689-3443 US dollars. 57% of cryptocurrency investors stated that they use wages for investment, and over half of investors said they choose cryptocurrency because it can provide higher returns in the short term compared to other assets. It is worth noting that about a quarter of cryptocurrency holders use overseas exchanges or decentralized exchanges (DEX), with over half storing more than 20% of their assets on these platforms. The survey also showed that 11% of respondents who have never invested in cryptocurrency expressed an intention to invest in the future.
