BlockBeats News: On February 13th, according to The New York Times, OpenAI's board of directors questioned the $97.04 billion acquisition offer proposed by investors such as Elon Musk, and stated in court documents on Wednesday that the proposal contradicts Musk's claims in the lawsuit against OpenAI last year. OpenAI stated that Musk had previously advocated that OpenAI's assets must remain under the control of non-profit organizations and cannot be transferred to other entities for the public interest, but now Musk is attempting to acquire them, which exposes Musk's "hypocrisy".
Musk's lawyer Marc Toberoff responded that the core of the lawsuit is not OpenAI's control, but rather the misconduct of Sam Altman and OpenAI. If OpenAI is willing to abandon its plan to "sell" non-profit assets, Musk will withdraw the acquisition proposal.
