The Great Interop Arbitrage — A Few Thoughts 1. What does interoperability mean, actually? Well, it means 70+ networks connected, enabling true decentralized cross-chain communication. TODAY. In fact, Axelar's goal is 1,000,000 interconnected chains. Touche to that! 2. What does it unlock? In this case, Axelar's message protocol enables @MultiversX dApps to call smart contracts on any of the 70+ connected chains – and vice versa. Seamless interaction with external DeFi, NFT, and gaming ecosystems, without manual bridging. Effectively extending products beyond one chain. (!) This is as big as it gets. And in practice, this means liquidity. A whole new liquidity flywheel. 3. Is it that big of a deal? You tell me: → Is accessing liquidity from Ethereum and 69 other chains, instantly accessible, a big deal? → Is enabling this at scale, frictionless, without bugs and flaws on each chain, a big deal? I guess so. I guess this might be one of the biggest catalysts and accelerators for the immediate future. Hard to overstate how much the entire Solana game was fueled solely due to native aligned cross chain bridging, when it mattered the most. The lesson? Learn, adapt, make progress. FAST. 4. If it is a big deal, can we accelerate, sir? Yes. Yes. And yes. But, doing it right -- effectively and securely, takes time. A lot of it.
