Altcoin Market Dominance has been on the decline since the start of 2024. It tested its June 2023 lows and the lowest point in 4 years. What we saw last cycle was similar, although the decline was quicker and more severe. The big move up in altcoin dominance didn't happen until 2021 which was the post-halving year. Similar to 2025. By then, BTC had traded up about 50-100% from its previous all time high and continued to head higher from there. Different years, different circumstances. Still interesting to see if this will roughly follow the same pattern as last cycle. So far it's remotely the same but especially the last year we've seen altcoins perform worse compared to the previous cycle.
