Odaily Planet Daily News: According to court documents submitted by the US court on Monday, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Binance, and its former CEO Zhao Changpeng (CZ) have filed a motion to suspend the trial of their case for 60 days in order to resolve the issue as soon as possible and save resources. This ongoing case began in 2023, when the SEC sued Binance and BAM Management, the operating company of Binance USA and CZ, accusing them of violating securities laws. The court documents state that the newly established cryptocurrency task force may help "facilitate the potential resolution of this case. The working group was established on January 21st by the newly appointed Acting Chairman of the SEC, Mark T. Uyeda, with the aim of assisting the SEC in developing a regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies. (Coindesk)
