Pham pointed out that although she has consistently opposed former chairman Rostin Behnam's tough enforcement stance on the prediction market, the current regulatory path is difficult to easily reverse. She emphasized that the anti innovation policies of the past few years have severely limited the CFTC's ability to shift towards common sense regulation, and there is currently legal uncertainty in the interpretation of event contracts.
