According to Decrypt, XRP Ledger spontaneously recovered after a block production interruption of about an hour this morning, which is a rare interruption event in the network. The online activity froze at Ledger altitude 93927173, prompting the verifier to immediately launch an investigation. XRP Ledger subsequently resumed normal operation without reporting any asset or transaction losses.
David Schwartz, Chief Technology Officer of XRPL, stated on the X platform: "It appears that the consensus mechanism is still in operation, but the verification results have not been released, resulting in network separation. To my knowledge, very few UNL (Unique Node List) operators have made any changes, so the network may be self recovering." Schwartz mentioned UNL as a core component of the XRPL consensus mechanism, serving as a trusted validator directory to ensure network integrity and transaction finality.
