TikTok establishes subsidiary in Zurich, Switzerland

According to Golden Finance, following the recent entry of tech companies such as OpenAI and Anthropic into Switzerland to tap local talent, TikTok Inc. has also established a subsidiary in Zurich, Switzerland. Records show that this social media platform, which is owned by ByteDance, was registered in Zurich last week. This entity is a subsidiary of TikTok UK, managed by Thomas Wlazik, the company's general manager for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Israel. Registration records show that TikTok will engage in activities related to marketing, advertising, and public relations, but cannot oversee, operate, or manage its media and distribution platforms.
